A HOSPICE hopes to give fundraisers a run for their money.

The Duchess of Kent House hospice in Southcote is now officially supported by the Asics Reading Half Marathon and is encouraging runners to sign up.

Last year 74 runners raised £26,110.66 for the hospice and runners for the next one on March 29 are asked to register soon before places fill up in January.

Each Duchess of Kent House Charity runner is given a free running vest, information pack and sponsorship forms. For more information and to sign up visit www.readinghalfmarathon.com

Volunteers from the charity will again be helping at one of the kit tents at the Madejski stadium and offering water outside the hospice in Liebenrood Road. To help call Sue Day on 0118 939 4889 or email sue.day@dokhc.org.uk.
