A SMARTLY-dressed man apologised to his victim after flashing at her at Caversham Lock.

The man ran past the woman near Caversham weir and as she was walking along a small path to Caversham Lock, he was already there and exposed himself at her.

He then apologised to the 32-year-old victim and ran over the lock and down the towpath towards Reading Bridge.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 8.45am on Friday, September 19.

The offender was black, around 5ft 7ins tall, around 20-years-old, with a southern accent and short-cropped black hair.

He wore smart black trousers, smart black shoes and a knee-length woollen winter coat.

PC Debbie Smith, Caversham neighbourhood officer, said: "We believe this is the same man as the Mill Road incident on August 13.

"It may be that someone else has encountered this man but not reported it.

"I would urge anyone who has been approached by him or seen someone fitting the description to contact me."

Contact PC Smith via Thames Valley Police's enquiry centre on 08458 505 505, or speak to charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
