RAINBOWS covered Beale Park at the weekend as part of a nationwide charity fundraising event.
The five to seven year old members of the Girlguiding UK movement and their families took part in the Rainbow High! World's Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Care. It was at the same time as a group of 16 senior Girlguiding UK members held the world's highest coffee morning, at the 18,500ft summit of Kala Pattar, near Mount Everest.
The Rainbows were met by a model of Mount Everest, made from cardboard by SCA Packaging of Thatcham, and their Olivia mascot dolls had a chance to try parachuting.
Pangbourne firefighters used a 33ft scissor lift provided by Access Rental to help the rag dolls, wearing the Rainbow uniform, to parachute down, rescuing some that got stuck in trees.
