A HELICOPTER chase has ended in the arrest of a 44-year-old man who was charged with burgling a supermarket in Earley.
Steven Clark, of Chain Street, Reading, was charged yesterday evening after officers detained him with the assistance of the National Police Air Service.
The arrest follows a police investigation into the burglary of the Co-operative Food store in Church Road, Earley, yesterday.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “ The arrest was in relation to an aggravated burglary at the Co-op in Church Road last night. A helicopter was called to assist the investigation.”
Clark was charged with one count of aggravated burglary and is due to appear at Reading Magistrates Court tomorrow, April 30.
