A MAN has been charged with rape and attempted rape in connection with an attack in west Reading last month.
Ciaran O’Callaghan, 21, of Lawrence Road in Tilehurst, was arrested on Friday and charged the next day in connection with a woman being raped in Wantage Road on Saturday, August 23.
O’Callaghan appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday, September 29.
