MOTORISTS are being warned to expect delays for two weeks in Caversham Road.
The southbound lane between Vachel Road and Tudor Road has been closed since Saturday [5] while Thames Water replaces some of the ageing water mains in the area.
One northbound lane at the junction with Great Knollys Street has also been shut for additional water main renewal work.
Work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, April 22, and Thames Water spokeswoman Becky Trotman said: “We’re sorry for any disruption but hope that by carrying out this work during school holidays, it will minimise the impact on road users.”
