READING East MP Rob Wilson is moving to the Department of Health as part of this week's cabinet reshuffle.
Mr Wilson told The Chronicle this morning he has accepted the job as parliamentary private secretary to Health secretary Jeremy Hunt.
The Tory MP was Mr Hunt's pps at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
Mr Hunt was promoted to Health yesterday in place of Andrew Lansley - one of a number of front bench changes made by Prime Minister David Cameron.
The department is responsible for introducing controversial reforms of the NHS.
Mr Wilson, who was reported to have turn down an offer of becoming a whip, said: "I'm very excited, we have got a big job to communicate what we are trying to achieve with the health and social care bill."
