Woman, 73, hurt in alleyway robbery
AN elderly woman needed hospital treatment after a heartless youth ambushed her in an alleyway.
The 73-year-old victim suffered a dislocated shoulder when she fell to the ground in Elizabeth Walk, Katesgrove, at 6pm on Saturday after a teenager snatched her bag containing a pension book, travel card, cashpoint and credit cards and a small amount of cash.
The terrified woman was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where she was treated for her injuries and later released.
The youth is white, around 14-16 years-old and of average build. He wore dark clothing and ran off towards Kinver Walk.
