THE cold weather is being blamed for a burst pipe in a home's loft.

Firefighters from Dee Road were called to Buckingham Drive in Caversham at 2pm after the occupant in her 60s discovered water pouring down the walls.

The firefighters believed the cold weather had caused the pipe to burst, and they turned off the water and electricity. They were there for 20 minutes.
