Report commentI wonder how much the council will be putting into this 'pot' and how much will come from 'private funders'. Isn't it interesting that RBC will be able to find money for a project that will screw up the connection between the buses and the rail station , but which will help a private developer, and yet they will claim 'lack of funds' when it comes to putting right their cock up on the Shinfield road. Hmmmmm!

Report commentAnd furthermore I would like to hear from the mouths of Cllr Willis and chief transport officer Pat Baxter that 'improvements' to the Norcott rd roundabout have absolutely nothing to do with traffic lights!!!!!.
Improvements could be made there , but would have to involve a bigger roundabout with more lanes. Strangely enough that would mean that more vehicles could get through the junction in a given time. THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE !!

Report commentI know who I will recommend we vote out in May. When the town has had its funding cut by 4.26% (£5.7 million) how dare the Council take from the poor to fund this lame transport scheme. The Government gives us £9.6 million on one hand, they claw back £5.7 million with the other and the Council takes from a reduced pot a portion of the £3.6 million needed. We have more important uses for any money in this town. Besides did not Andrew Cumpsty want the public to decide how funds in the town would be utilised. Call a referendum now!
As Cumpsty and Co have found the money for this their pet project they can forthwith find the money for the Shinfield Road to return it to something workable. Because of the Lib Dems we have this lack lustre mob. In whose interest do you serve, I wonder?
PS This town, besides Labour run Slough, have been hit with the highest cuts in Berkshire. Other Boroughs in Berkshire received only token cuts.
