Brothel madam: repay or go back to prison
A BROTHEL madam has been ordered to pay back £350,000 of her ill-gotten gains.
Kimberley Davies, 43, of Meadow View, Davis Way, Hurst, Reading, was arrested in May 2006 and sentenced on April 9, 2008 to a year in prison for keeping brothels.
Thames Valley Police's Economic Crime Unit (ECU) has since been conducting complex investigations into her finances and the properties she owned and rented.
She said her property profile was legitimate and established by her father and that she earned her money working as a prostitute, rather than running the brothels.
But a hearing at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday heard her criminal conduct netted her £675,00 and Judge Zoe Smith issued a confiscation order for her remaining assets, worth £350,000. This included her home in Davis Way, Hurst, a flat in Valpy Street, Reading, a property in Burgh Le Marsh, near Skegness, a Rolex watch, jewellery and cash.
She was given six months to pay, or will go back to prison for three years and four months
