A YOUNG girl was taken to hospital after her oxygen cylinder caught alight.
Two fire crews from Wokingham Road and Dee Road stations attended the blaze at the house in Whitley Wood Road, Whitley, just before 1pm today (Saturday).
It is understood the girl needs the oxygen cylinder for a medical condition.
Firefighters were there for two hours while they extinguished the blaze and the girl's mother sustained minor burns to her hands.
Watch manager Phil Holford said: "The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated."
