A MAN has admitted causing the death of a woman from Sonning Common by dangerous driving.
Christopher Lockwood, 31, formerly of Swindon but now of Stoke-on-Trent, admitted causing the death of 63-year-old Patricia Hesser-Young on the M4 between junction 14 and Membury service station near Hungerford, in June last year.
Lockwood’s blue Ford Focus ploughed into Mrs Hesser-Young’s red Land Rover Discovery, forcing it off the motorway and down an embankment, where it struck a tree.
Mrs Hesser-Young suffered severe injuries in the crash and died more than three months later.
Lockwood admitted a charge of causing death by dangerous driving at Reading Crown Court today (26) He was released on conditional bail and given an interim driving ban. He is due to be sentenced on October 1.
