WIND farm protesters have 'renamed' a road running alongside a site earmarked for four turbines.
The Arborfield-based group, Householders Against Rushy Mead (Harm), has nicknamed the neighbouring byway, Barrett's Lane, 'Harm's Way'.
Spokeswoman Jan Heard said: "Until the threat of the wind turbines is removed, locals will refer to it as 'Harm's Way'. It is possible to walk, cycle, run or ride past the site, which can be approached from Cutbush Lane in Shinfield or Lower Earley, Church Lane in Arborfield or Carter's Hill."
The group is arranging a public meeting, 'Come To Harm's Way', to let people see the site for themselves on Saturday from 8am.
The wind turbines are planned for Reading University-owned land and developer Partnership for Renewables is also hosting public meetings to let people know more about the scheme.
These are at the CResCent Centre in Warbler Drive, Earley, from 3-8pm on
Tuesday and in Arborfield Village Hall from 3-8pm on Wednesday.
