A FAST-EXPANDING chicken restaurant chain has opened its second store in the town, creating 10 jobs.

Roosters Piri Piri said its West Street branch, which already employs 14 people, has gone from "strength to strength" and showed the level of demand in Reading.

The new Cemetery Junction branch, at 217 London Road, is now open, aimed at commuters, students and Newtown residents.

It opens from 10am-late, seven days a week, specialising in steamed and grilled spicy chicken.

Restaurant owner Nadeem Khan said: "We are delighted to be opening our second restaurant in Reading. Our restaurant in the town centre has gone from strength to strength and we have a fantastic group of loyal and regular customers.

"We now want to be able to offer Roosters Piri Piri to more people in the Reading area and feel that we have the perfect location at Cemetery Junction."
