THREE more cars were torched in suspected arsons last night - just 30 hours after a crisis meeting about the "unprecedented" spate of attacks in Tilehurst.

A Honda Civic parked in a driveway in Church End Lane, a Vauxhall parked on the road 150 metres away and an Alfa Romeo on a driveway in nearby Halls Road were all burnt out at 2.30-3am and police are investigating.

Crews from Dee Road and Wokingham Road stations dealt with the blazes, as did Caversham Road whose crew manager Doug Buchanan said: "Where people can park on driveways or garages at the moment, that's going to be a good idea while this is going on - just be as vigilant as possible."

Anyone with information should call police on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
