READING Buses is finalising a shake-up of its fares and planning to abolish its zone-based tickets and make life simpler for passengers.
From Easter there will be just three areas: Reading, Newbury and 'network', meaning every bus service the company operates.
Spokesman Peter Love said: "Easter will see the sweeping away of the current weekly tickets which are a maze of zonal boundaries and different prices. In their place Reading Transport will introduce a simple new range of weekly, 30 day and 90 day tickets in Reading. The new simple weekly ticket will be available for people travelling throughout Reading without the worry of over-riding into the next zone."
