A BURNT out car dumped down a muddy track in Emmer Green last night was too badly damaged for firefighters to identify its model or colour.

A crew from Caversham Road station was called out at 9.45pm to the Honda Civic abandoned and set ablaze halfway down a track off Kiln Road leading to a Thames Water pumping station.

They spent half an hour at the scene and firefighter Stuart Kennedy said: "I couldn't say an age or a colour, it was completely burnt out.

"The police have been informed."
