CROSSRAIL has appointed Martin Rowark head of procurement.
Mr Rowark will lead the procurement division, ensuring the acquisition of works, services and supplies is managed in line with relevant regulations, Government policies and best industry practice.
Commercial Director Martin Buck said: "He brings a wealth of experience to the project as he has contributed to key railway projects in the past.
"We look forward to having him on board and strengthening the team to help deliver Europe's largest construction project on time and to budget."
Mr Rowark said: "It is an exciting time to be a part of a project of such national significance as Crossrail. I look forward to contributing to its success."
Many in Reading and Maidenhead still expect the scheme to be extended to the redeveloped Reading Station once the Great Western mainline is electrified.

Lets hope that common sense prevails and Crossrail is extended to Reading. To finish it at the much less important Maidenhead terminus is just plain daft!
