Hole lot of fun at charity gold challenge

TWYFORD-BASED charity Daisy"s Dream hosted a successful golf challenge at Sonning Golf Club recently.

The charity, which supports bereaved children throughout Berkshire, held the event to raise funds towards its £195,000 target so it can help more than 500 bereaved children each year.

Keith Hawkins from the winning golf team, 'Team Fusion", said: 'We"re delighted to win the trophy, but the most important part of the day is the support we"ve offered to such a worthwhile charity.'

Berkshire Woodmasters took second place while third place went to the Daisy"s Dream Team. The event raised £1,760.

Vickie Randall from Daisy"s Dream said: 'The golf day is a great event for us and I know it was special this year as some of the teams were playing in remembrance of loved ones, we are delighted to have such fantastic support.'
