READING West MP Martin Salter officially re-launched the Dingley Family and Specialist Early Years Centre on Thursday at its new premises in Kenavon Drive, Reading.

The Dingley Centre offers facilities to children from birth to five with additional needs and disabilities, and provides parents with the chance to share experiences and to make new friends. Children use art, storytelling and music as learning tools.

Mr Salter cut a ribbon before chatting to parents, staff and trustees. He said: 'The Dingley Centre is an outstanding charity which serves local children with additional needs and disabilities incredibly well. There is no doubt that the new building will enable the centre to continue to deliver specific and specialised support for so many families in Reading.'

Reading footballer Ivar Ingimarsson also attended the event and ran a coaching session during the afternoon.

Liz McDaniel, group administrator and marketing assistant for the charity, said: 'Having worked with Martin in the past I feel his input into the occasion was vitally important in raising the profile of the centre. Now we have this lovely large setting we are aiming to help even more children to realise their full potential.'
