'BNP threat at election time'

LOW turnout in next month's Euro-elections could hand a seat to the BNP, says Martin Salter.
The Reading West MP said "the lower the turnout, the better their chances", adding that a seat in the European Parliament would give the party a funding boost for their campaigns.
He said: "The BNP have rarely stood in elections in Reading, and when they have their racist message has been roundly rejected. But if too many people stay at home on June 4 we could end up with the shame of the BNP winning one of the 11 seats in the South-East and having the right to speak on our behalf."
He was backed by Labour's Reading East candidate Anneliese Dodds and borough council leader Jo Lovelock, but the other main parties say that using the threat of BNP gains to scare people to the polls just gives the party the publicity it craves.

Is that the smell of freshly soiled underwear I detect wafting out from the hogs at Westminster?
Best of luck to the BNP on June 4th.

I cant wait until some of those traitors are booted out of their seats, to be represented insted, by people who want to work for us, and in our best interests.
Already, there have been hundreds of paper headlines TELLING people dont vote BNP.
What they dont tell you is, why we should vote the cosy club members of the failed lib lab tory old mates network?
Imagine running scared of the BNP, a party which relies on ordinary hard working people like me, a postman, to fund their election campaigns, no shadowy benefactors, no dodgy millionaires demanding favours for cash, no unions demanding greater voices, and no dodgy government sponsored thugs- like searchlight, who interfere in politics, without ever putting a candidate forward.

Perhaps having members of parliament who will fight for the British people wont be a bad thing after all
For we have had a parliament putting the foreigners before us for the past 11 years
Good luck to the BNP Britain needs you

I'm in Ireland and will be voting Libertas but if I was in England it would have to be BNP. Democracy is fading fast. Get us all the hell out of the EU. The Czeck Senate just approved Lisbon Treaty today. Use your vote this time because anti EU Partys might be illegal at the next elections.

Disgusting. Salter acting as publicity officer for the BNP. He really does get excited getting their name published in the press. All he's done is promoted them and then allowed their trolls to put their nonsense here. The are right about one thing though. The sooner Salter's gone the better.

Whenever the BNP have ever been elected they've been useless and incompetent and lazy. They'd be no different in Europe. It's better to just ignore them, not go on about them like it's the end of the world, let them rant about how oppressed white people and who exactly they want to 'send home' in their own little echo chamber. Reading is a multi-ethnic town and all the better for it, I'd rather live here than bloody Tunbridge Wells..

What the politicians from the big 3 parties fail to realise is that every time they tell people not to vote for the BNP they are actually encouraging people to vote for them . The reputation of main stream politicians is so low that the electorate will tend to do the opposite of what they are told to do simply to spite them.
Many of the people who will vote BNP will do so because there is a vacuum that has been left by the big 3 parties who consistantly refuse to address the immigration issue!
BNP voters are mainly just peed off ordinary folk who are fed up with being ignored.
