NOMINATIONS for the Reading Retail Awards have now closed and a full list of all those put forward for an accolade will be featured in The Chronicle next week.

Among those nominated are two sales assistants at House of Fraser in Reading.

Both Mandy Parker and Annah Slade were put forward by customers for the Service with a Smile category sponsored by Reading Buses.

Verity Waite, deputy store manager, said: “Mandy works within the ladies wear section of House of Fraser Reading and customers are constantly praising her for her amazing levels of customer service. We are proud that Mandy is part of our team and shares our passion for excellent customer service.”

The customer who nominated Mandy described her as “friendly, bubbly, chatty and shows that she is genuinely interested in what you, as the customer, want”. They added: “I’m nominating because I believe she really is a star which doesn’t get noticed like it should.”

Annah works at the Aveda counter and the customer who nominated

her said she “puts you at ease when having a treatment”.

Verity said of Annah: “Annah has a very professional and friendly approach to customer service. Annah delivers a personal and special experience for all her customers which puts them at ease and builds loyalty.”

Verity added: “At House of Fraser we pride ourselves on amazing customer service and we are very proud that two of our team have been recognised for their personal commitment to delivering exceptional service.”
