THERE have been complaints about lighting on the Orts Road estate as well as along the canal towpath.
Quite a few of the lights are either dimly lit,whilst others don’t work. Some of the towpath is in total darkness. People have complained but nothing’s been done.
Since the Government have made major cutbacks in most areas I doubt anything will be done.
With drug dealers on the estate, on King’s Road, as well as by the canal and near the gasworks, nothing’s being done about that either. The dealers are clearly seen and make it obvious what’s going on.
In dark areas on the towpath and the estate at nights, it’s a haven for them. There are schools nearby, and children’s play parks. It’s not good for the kids to see this.
