They were captured on CCTV following a robbery and assault in Reading town centre.

Police have released the image of the four believing that they might hold vital information about the incident, which took place in the early hours of the morning.

Two men, aged 25 and 28, were assaulted by a group of men in Broad Street on Friday, December 23.

Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV footage of four men who could have vital information following a robbery and assault in Reading.

The incident took place close to the junction with Chain Street between 3.30am and 3.45am yesterday.

The first victim sustained an injury to his eye, while the other victim sustained head injuries.

A mobile phone and a set of keys were stolen from the victims during the incident.

Both men were taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Investigating officer Det Con Laura Peacock of Reading Local CID, is hoping the image might prompt more information about what happened in Broad Street.

She said: “I am appealing for the men show in this CCTV image to come forward as they could have information which is vital to our investigation.

“If anyone recognises these men, or has any information relating to this incident, please contact Thames Valley Police on the non-emergency number 101.”
