A VAN smashed through the front of an ice cream parlor in the early hours of the morning. 

Sprinkles, on Cemetery Junction, was left with smashed windows and damage to the walls after a Ford Transit van launched across the kerb and through the front. 

Nobody was injured in the early-morning incident, which took place at 5am. 

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Thames Valley Police can confirm officers were called to London Road, Reading at approximately 5am to attend a van having left the road and collided with Sprinkles Gelato.
 
"No-one was injured, it was a damage only collision.
 
"There are no other updates at this time."
