A DRUG dealing duo who were caught red handed with a massive haul of class A substances have been jailed.

Sven Van Philips and Gairickson Rosalia, both of the Netherlands, were found with more than 48 packages of drugs when police visited an address in Wincanton Road, Reading, on an unrelated matter.

Officers found a total of 438 grams of cocaine, which has an estimated street value of more than £17,000, and the duo were later charged with drug offences.

Van Philips, 28, admitted a single count of possession with intent to supply drugs and was jailed for four years.

Rosalia, 30, was convicted on one count of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and was jailed for 12 years.

Detective constable Julia Collins said: "The sentences given reflect the serious nature of these offences, and the harm that could have been caused had these drugs found their way onto the streets of Reading.

"We are committed to tackling the issue of drugs supply in Reading and I would urge anyone with information about this type of offence to contact us on 101."
