A POPULAR series of food festivals are set to return to Forbury Gardens following the overwhelming success of last year.

The four-day Cheese Feast will be back on April 19, with a selection of craft beers, wines and cocktails to compliment the wide offering of local produce.

Feastival returns to the town centre with a three-week stint from May 25 to June 17, featuring a rotation of street food stalls, live music and quirky seating celebrating local heroes.

Glen Dinning, from event organisers Blue Collar, said: “The response to last year’s events was incredible and it is so exciting to be able to build on that and take it to the next level.

“The return of Feastival will see our very best food and booze options alongside a brand new, two tiered seating infrastructure, fire pits, hay bale sofas and live music.

“Along with the four-day themed events, it promises to be the perfect place for lunch in town and drinks in the sun.”

A further featured event - Meat Feast - will be held at Abbey Ruins later this year, with an exact date yet to be confirmed.

Guests can expect a wide selection of slow-cooked meats, dry-aged steak and huge barbecues.
