THE REIGNING champion and British runner has been confirmed as a competitor in this year's edition of the Sage Reading Half Marathon.
Andy Vernon, the 2016 Rio Olympian who won last years race, has again confirmed he will be participating in the March 18 event.
The 2012/14 European bronze and silver medallist, who crossed the line in 1:03:08 last year ahead of thousands of other runners, has set his sights on another gold this year.
Vernon said: “The Reading Half Marathon holds a fantastic reputation as a very quick race - I’d definitely recommend it to anyone chasing a PB.”
Olympian Scott Overall, runner up from the 2016 race, has confirmed he will also be part of the lineup.
More than 15,000 runners are expected to start the race this year.
