SCI-FI fans and cosplayers will come together next week when Reading Comic Con returns for its second event.

More than 5,000 fans came face to face with their make-belief heroes last year and residents will have a chance to enjoy a similar experience on November 25 and 26.

Paul Waidley, who organises the popular extravaganza, said he hopes last year's success will encourage even more fans to flock to the Rivermead Leisure Centre this time around.

He said: "We had a very success inaugural event in 2016 which approximately 5500 people through the doors over the course of the weekend.

"We will have guests from TV & film attending, including Chris Barrie from Red Dwarf, Hannah Spearritt and a couple from American Sci-Fi series Z Nation that we are flying in from the States.

"We will also have props including The Iron Throne, Dr Who Tardis and a Transformers Car."

Fans can also enjoy memorabilia stalls as well as a cosplay zone where people can dress up as their favourite superhero or character.

Tickets are available here.
