A YOUNG man who brutally attacked a 79-year-old OAP and robbed him of his belongings was being hunted by police today.
The victim, male, was walking down the alleyway beside Wycliffe Baptist Church in Kings Road, Reading, when he was approached by his attacker.
The thug, who was described as being in lise late 20's or early 30's, beat him to the ground and stole his wallet and cash before fleeing the scene shortly after 4.30pm on Saturday.
The frightened OAP was found laid on the floor with cuts and bruises on his body.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "The victim, a 79 year old man was wearing a distinctive brown leather jacket.
"He was approached whilst walking down the alleyway beside the Wycliffe Baptist Church, Kings Road, Reading on Saturday October 28 at 4.30pm by a white male, late 20’s to early 30’s.
"He had short dirty blonde hair, average height, slim build, pale complexion, no facial hair and spoke with a local accent."
The attacker was wearing He was wearing a dark baseball cap, blue jeans, trainers and riding a blue men’s bike with white writing on the crossbar.
