AN UNNAMED man has been charged with attempted murder after a knife attack last week.
The victim, a man in his twenties, was left in a life-threatening condition in hospital following the attack on Foxhays Road.
Last Tuesday September 26, a teenager was arrested and questioned over the attack, but this teenager has been released on bail.
Thames Valley Police released the following statement:
"Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place in Reading.
"The charge relates to the attempted murder of man in Foxhays Road, Reading, on 26 September.
"He was charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of possession of an offensive weapon on Saturday (30/9).
"The man has been remanded in custody to next appear at Reading Crown Court on 30 October.
"The man who has been charged cannot be named for legal reasons."
