A MAN remains in hospital after two violent brawls saw three men knocked down TWICE by a single attacker.

The attacker was talking to a woman outside Nu-Vo in Cross Street, Reading, shortly after 1am on Saturday morning.

He was then approached by three men before a violent brawl broke out following an argument.

The attacker beat up all three men by punching them to the floor before walking off towards Friar Street.

All three victims followed the man and another brawl ensued outside of STA Travel where they were attacked again.

One victim suffered serious injuries to his head and was rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital where he remains today (Thursday).

Thames Valley Police have today released CCTV images of a man they believe holds vital clues into the case.

A spokesman said: “At around 1am on Saturday morning (16/9), a male was talking to a woman in Cross Street outside Nu-Vo.

“He was approached by three men, the victim and his two friends, and they have a verbal altercation.

“The man who was with the female has assaulted all three men, punching them to the floor. He then walks off on to Friar Street with the woman. The three men then follow him where he assaults them again outside STA Travel.

“One victim a man in his fifties has received an injury to his head; he was taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are not life threatening but are believed to be serious.”

The other victims received minor injuries in the shocking brawl and did not need hospital treatment.
