A SEA of colours graced the town yesterday (Saturday) as residents and revellers enjoyed this year's Pride festival.

The Kings Meadow extravaganza kicked off at 12pm with a full line-up of entertainment throughout the day.

This year's theme was 'Love Unites All' and it is 50 years since homosexuality was decriminalised in England and Wales.

Noteable attendees included Reading East MP Matt Rodda, who gave a moving speech to the crowd.

The day was marred with controversy however when one of the event's hosts let-slip some biphobic comments, sparking anger on social media.
