POLICE found the body of an elderly man at a home in Whitley, it has been revealed.
Officers were called to a property on Lulworth Road at around 8pm on Sunday evening following reports of a fear for welfare.
The man, who is believed to be in his 70s, was found by emergency services on arrival.
The death is being treated as unexplained but not-suspicious and a file will now be prepared for the Berkshire coroner.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Officers were called on Sunday at about 7.55pm following reports of a fear for welfare incident at a property Lulworth Road, Whitley.
"Officers attended the address where sadly the body of a man aged in his 70s was found.
"The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
