AN “ESTABLISHED London drug dealer” who left a man bleeding out in a car park after stabbing him has been convicted of a string of offences.

Tyrone John plunged a blade into the 43-year-old’s back three times and a further two times in the arm, leaving him slumped outside Iceland in Weldale Street, West Reading.

The man was later rushed to hospital but may never regain full use of his arm.

John sped off from the scene of the attack on a motorbike towards London where he was traced and captured on film swapping his clothes and acting irrationally.

CCTV footage and images caught by police helicopters were shown to a jury and revealed how he had nearly collided with another vehicle as he raced towards the capital, mounting curbs and driving the wrong way up streets.

Following a six day trial at Reading Crown Court the 25-year-old was unanimously convicted by jurors of section 18 GBH and possession of a knife blade in a public place on Thursday.

He admitted to one count of dangerous driving at the same court on December 15, 2015.

The stabbing victim was found covered in blood in the supermarket car park at around 4.25pm on August 11 and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

He suffered ruptured tendons and it is not yet known whether he will recover full function and feeling in the arm.

Officers later caught up with John on September 18 when he was arrested and charged.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Martina Smith from Reading police station said: “I am pleased that John has pleaded guilty to the dangerous driving offences and has been found guilty of the other crimes.

“The judge said John was a dangerous offender and established London drug dealer and this will be taken into consideration when he is sentenced.”

John, of West London, is also known to frequent an address in Southampton Street, Katesgrove.

He is due to be sentenced at the same court on February 5.
