A MAN had a leg and ribs broken in a hit and run collision in West Reading.
The 46-year-old was struck last Thursday in Western Elms Avenue while crossing over the road.
He fell to the floor but the driver of the car continued on and failed to stop.
The man was rushed to the Royal Berkshire Hospital with a broken leg, broken ribs and damage to his shoulder.
He remains in hospital as he recovers from the injuries.
The man was walking along Oxford Road between 9pm to 10pm when he was hit as he crossed Wester Elms Avenue.
There is no description of the driver or the vehicle.
Investigating officer, PC James Gardner based at Reading police station, said: "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has information about the collision to contact police immediately."
