Woman sentenced for stealing gift cards from work
A WOMAN from Tilehurst has been sentenced for stealing more than £800 in gift cards and cash from House of Fraser.
Former deputy sales manager Ayushi Doolooa, 28, of Dee Road, was convicted of fraud by abuse of position by Reading Magistrates' Court in June, and appeared again on Thursday, January 25 to be sentenced.
She had admitted to dishonestly abusing her position within the department store between June and December 2016 to obtain £881.81 through cash and gift cards.
Doolooa was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid community work within the next 12 months; ordered to pay £450 compensation; £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
