TRAINS between Reading and Didcot Parkway were cancelled or are running up to an hour late after a fatality at Tilehusrt station.
Emergency services were called to the station just after midday to reports a person had been hit by a train.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "We have been called to Tilehurst station after reports a person was struck by a train.
"Police were alerted just after midday.
"Officers are currently on scene alongside local ambulance however a person has sadly been pronounced dead.
"We are now working to identify the person and inform their family.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Great Western Railway warned commuters services faced lengthy delays although the line has reopened.
