A GIRLGUIDE leader from Reading was one of 80 members attending the London Pride Parade for the first time on Saturday.
Jenny Fox, who leads the 12th Tilehurst Guides, took in the capital's landmarks while showing the Girlguide's solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
Ms Fox said: “London Pride is a powerful image and sends an important message across the country of love and support.
“The theme is 'no filter'. Everyone is free to explore their individuality and will be accepted for who they are.
“12th Tilehurst Guides and I are really honoured and excited about representing girl guides at this year’s parade and we are looking forward to meeting some wonderful people and making new friends.
A statement on the Girlguiding website reaffirms the group's commitment to inclusiveness.
It reads: “We believe in being fair, open and inclusive. Our members and supporters are welcomed irrespective of faith, race, culture, nationality or sexual orientation.”
