A MAN has died after being struck by a train at Tilehurst station.
The line between Reading and Didcot had been suspended but services have since resumed.
The man was hit at around 11.50am today and though paramedics were called, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity has not yet been confirmed.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "We were called to Tilehurst station at approximately 11.50am on Thursday, 7 April following reports of a person being struck by a train.
"Officers from BTP, Thames Valley Police and paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service also attended where a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are currently working to identify the man and inform his family.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
A statement on the Great Western Railway website advises customers some services may still be delayed or cancelled and normal service is expected to resume around 5pm today.
