GET glammed up and have a great time, all in aid of a very worthy cause.

Reading's Hilton Hotel is hosting a charity ball on Friday, September 29.

The hotel– which has 210 rooms– is inviting Reading residents to come along and celebrate, raising funds for Dingley's Promise, via the DM Thomas Foundation.

The DM Thomas Foundation helps disadvantaged and vulnerable young people transform their lives by funding projects which facilitate education, provide vital equipment and training and improve treatment, care and wellbeing.

Dingley's Promise has centres in Reading, Wokingham and Newbury and delivers support to under fives with disabilities.

Dingley’s Promise needs to raise £19.76 per hour to cover the cost of its centres. Each centre is staffed by a team of Early Years Practitioners and dedicated volunteers, many working one-on-one with the young children, some of whom have severe disabilities and additional needs.

The hotel ensures that all the profit made from ticket sales goes direct to the charities.

The evening's entertainment will be hosted by former Reading FC player Ady Williams, and there will be food, music and entertainment. There will also be a raffle, with all proceeds going to the charity.
