A TRIO targeted shop staff in a frightening late-night raid and made off with cash. 

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Sonning Common. 

At around 10.15pm last Thursday (11/5), three men entered the Co-Op on Wood Lane. They intimidated the staff into opening a safe and then stole a quantity of cash.

The staff members were not injured and it is not believed that the men were armed.

The offenders are described as three males, all over 6ft and of medium build. One of the offenders was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, dark trainers and a blue hooded top.

The other offender was wearing dark clothing and the third offender was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, light grey trainers and a light grey hooded top.

All three offenders had their faces concealed with a hood and face covering.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Simon Charlton from Abingdon Force CID, said: "We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, so we can identify those responsible.
