MANCHESTER United boss Jose Mourinho has hailed Reading FC as a "very, very good" team as he prepares to take on Jaap Stam's men in the FA Cup tomorrow.

The Royals face the Red Devils at Old Trafford (12.30pm KO) and much of the pre-match debate has been centred around Dutchman Stam's return to Manchester as a manager.

And while Mourinho, who has seen his side win their last seven games on the spin, concedes that Reading will give his players a tough game, he revealed there will be a number of changes to his starting XI.

The Portugese revealed England captain Wayne Rooney will be involved from the beginning, as will goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

"First of all we have zero injuries," Mourinho told the media at Old Trafford today.

"Out of 27 we have 27 players available. The one that is not available is Bailly.

"It's an amazing moment for us because everyone is ready.

"I'm going to make some changes. Our players are good players and I trust them all.

"We are playing against a very good opponent, very good I repeat, very good. I trust my players.

"It will be difficult but I think my players can win."

Yesterday Royals' boss Stam told the Chronicle he doesn't want the spotlight to be on him when Reading arrive at Old Trafford, and would rather everyone's attention is on his players' performances.

Mourinho revealed however he expects Stam to get a very warm welcome from the Manchester United fans.

"Everyone knows Jaap’s history at this club," he declared.

"He’s going to get a great reception from the fans.

I’m very happy with that."

Mourinho held his cards close to his chest when asked if Bastian Schweinsteiger could make his first appearence for the club since being frozen out earlier in the campaign.

The 53-year-old confessed the former German international would be fit and ready to play if he was called upon, but he would not confirm if Bastian had a place in the starting XI.
