TODDLERS celebrated Easter by designing and creating homemade bonnets with a Spring theme.

Three and four-year-old children at Emmer Green Pre-School looked the part in their floral headgear before taking part in a parade.

Prizes were awarded for the best bonnets by Simon Watson, manager of Budgens, who kindly provided chocolate eggs for the egg hunt.

Wendy Robins, a supervisor at the pre-school, said: “This annual event is a lovely way to celebrate the beginning of Spring.

"We are always amazed at how creative the children are and we love how it makes everyone smile as they parade around the pre-school for their families and friends.”

Lucy Herbert, four, was the winner of the competition and she added: “I made my bonnet with my mummy and I won the best prize.

"I can’t wait until Easter. All my friends looked really nice in their bonnets.”
