THIS is the heartwarming and “totally epic” moment a young schoolboy suffering with a rare form of cancer got the chance to meet his footballing hero.

Daniel Taulbut walked onto the pitch hand-in-hand with England international Harry Kane at Tottenham’s White Hart Lane.

The nine-year-old football fanatic, from Caversham, is sadly battling a hybrid form of AML and ALL leukaemia, and is undergoing extensive treatment.

His biggest wish was to meet Spurs’ superstar Kane, but he was left lost for words when he was invited to meet the entire squad.

“Walking out at White Hart Lane with my Spurs hero Harry Kane was totally epic,” said Daniel.

The youngster travelled to North London with his parents Ric and Ali and his big sister Amy.

The family were welcomed as special guests during Spurs’ Premier League match against Stoke City.

They were welcomed into Kane’s family box and handed goodie bags filled with treats and a signed photograph.

Young Daniel then headed down the tunnel to walk with Kane onto the pitch before watching from the sidelines as he scored a superb hat-trick.

He also had his match programme signed by the squad.

His mother added: “It was a huge thrill for Daniel to be able to meet his hero. We received the warmest of welcomes from Tottenham football club, their manager Mauricio Pochettino and Harry Kane’s close family.” The day could not have been any better and we are very grateful.”
