A FLASHER followed his victim over Reading Bridge and into a nearby car park before indecently exposing himself to her on Wednesday evening.

The 29-year-old victim was sitting in her car in the Hills Meadow Car Park in Caversham at around 6pm when she saw a white male approaching the vehicle.

Investigating officers believe the man followed her back to the car park over Reading Bridge.

She was taken aback when the man, described as 5ft 10ins tall of medium build, exposed himself before walking towards the river behind the car park in George Street.

He was wearing a blue zip-up rain coat with the hood up and baggy blue jeans.

Investigating officer, Phoebe Clarkson, said: "The offender followed the victim over Reading Bridge and into the car park. I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may recognise the description of the offender to contact me.

"The car park was very busy at the time and there was a lot of traffic on Reading Bridge so if you saw a man matching this description, or have any information about the incident, please contact me via the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number 101.

"If you don't want to speak directly to police you can contact Crimestoppers (opens new window) on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court."
