A WOMAN had to be cut form her car it rolled onto its side.

The Citroen rolled at the junction of Oakley Road and Kidmore Lane yesterday evening.

Firefighter Steve Kingston of Caversham Road firestation said they were called at around 8pm.

"There were two cars, a Citroen and a Vauxhall, one was on its side.

"A woman was medically trapped. That means she's not trapped by the car's bodywork but needs help getting out carefully.

"The car already had a large soft sunroof which made it easier.

"The paramedics assessed her then we helped get her out."

Noone was trapped in the Vauxhall.

The woman is thought to have been taken to hospital.
