A MAN was threatened with a knife inside the Qumin Takeaway on Henley Road on Sunday.
At about 6.45pm, the 48 year-old was chased out of the building and down the street by a second man who was wielding the knife.
No one was injured during the incident and police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A 42 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and has since been released on police bail until August 10.
Investigating officer Police Constable Matt Wheeler, based at Reading police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that could help. Please get in touch by calling the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
