A MOTHER and daughter have made the 47 mile trip from Southampton to Reading in order to be first in line for the opening of a new IKEA.
Katie and Ella Cook set up camp outside the Swedish furniture store on Pincents Lane in Calcot at 7am today, in preparation of a 24 hour wait.
They will be in prime position for a tree planting and ribbon cutting at 7am tomorrow, which precedes the grand opening at 9am.
Mother Katie, who is originally from Wokingham, is a relative veteran of entering IKEAs soon after their opening, having queued outside the Southampton branch in 2009.
